Michael, why isn't the Citizen covering the McIntosh High Lacrosse program?

You (and your readers) are missing some of the most exciting local high school athletic competition going. For example, if the Citizen had bothered to have a reporter at tonight's match, your reporter would have witnessed a nerve wracking double overtime victory for the McIntosh boys team (8-7) and who knows, maybe some of your readers who don't know about the local lacrosse high school teams just might come out to the next game.

This is just the second year of the program and the team is undefeated at this point. And with most of the team being sophomores and freshmen, this program has the potential to be among the elite teams in the state in the next few years. Also, Starr's Mill is starting their lacrosse program this year and just like soccer, team members of both high schools play together on the local club teams so the rivalry is intense.

So if any of you want to experience a hard hitting, fast paced sporting event, come on out and see this team. Next game is this Saturday, 1:00pm at Booth. Hope to see you there!
