The current federal budget is $3.7 Trillion. The current deficit ceiling was just raised to $12.39 Trillion.

By the math, the "Guv" would have shut down and spend no money for almost 3.5 years and will we would have to continue to pay taxes at the current rate in order to completely zero the deficit. This, I suspect, will not happen.

Oh BTW, the 2010 budget added $1.5 Trillion more to the running deficit since the revenue stream will not be there.

Anyone care to suggest as to what should be cut? I'll start the ball rolling and say the $3 Million for bicycle racks in Georgetown should get the axe. Your turn.
