Storing Rice, water and dried beef

A pawn shop operator in Palm Beach, Florida of long standing, was asked today who was pawning goods there anyway. It is supposedly full of wealthy people for the most part.

He said he had a shop full of expensive goods---painting, diamonds, gold, etc. Items which he never did have before now.

Bernie Madoff caused part of that but not the majority of the problem.

When asked what his sage advice would be for people now about economics, he said to store a considerable amount of rice as we would need it before the current crisis ended!

Accordingly, I intend to find some rice, hermetically sealed, with dried beef, and bottled water---sufficient to survive starvation for a long period of time.

We have been robbed!

I surely would hate to have to depend upon our banks, our insurance companies, our investment companies, and those who loan us money from overseas for my survival.

What has nearly killed our economy in so far as credit, greed, disorderly distribution of wealth, jobs, air quality, diseases, manufacturing, work effort (production--not shuffling), and standing in the world as far as respect is concerned?
We don't even respect each other! We don't even respect other religions. Good intentions go out the door instantly when our own security is at stake!

It started with the greed for natural resources. You pick the culprit.

Next time you are near Charleston, go to the freighter docks, walk all the way to the end of the last dock and look!
When you see the booms, that is the boomdocks.
