Peachtree City police have charged an Atlanta man for the sawed-off shotgun robbery of Creekside Chevron on Ga. Highway 54 West in the early morning of Dec. 19. Orlando Marquez Peavy, 21, is being held in the Coweta County jail on other charges, police said. “This arrest is based on a coordinated effort between Peachtree City Police Department and the Newnan Police Department,” according to Chief H. C. “Skip” Clark, II. Newnan contacted Peachtree City police after investigating a kidnapping and armed car-jacking incident over the weekend in the city of Newnan, Clark said in a Christmas Eve news release. “Information obtained in the Newnan investigation identified a suspect who matched the description of the suspect in the armed robbery at the Creekside Chevron,” Clark said. “Peavy is currently being held at the Coweta County Jail under the charges from the Newnan Police Department. Peachtree City Police have warrants on Marquez Orlando Peavy for armed robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, use of a sawed-off shotgun during the commission of a crime, and carrying a concealed weapon,” the chief said. login to post comments |
