A request to change the site plan on a portion of the Fischer Crossings retail development was approved Dec. 15 by the Coweta County Commission. The request decreased the number of outparcels along Ga. Highway 54 from four to two and reconfigured the placement of the proposed theater site.

The site plan as originally approved called for four outparcels to be located along Hwy. 54 on the easternmost portion of the development that extends westward to Ga. Highway 34 and Fischer Road. Developer Scott Seymour subsequently requested that the number be decreased to two outparcels.

Pertaining to the proposed theater also on the easternmost portion of the development, Seymour requested that it be relocated from the north side of the property to the east side, effectively positioned at a 90-degree angle from the original plan.

The changes were not substantial, said county administrator Theron Gay, adding that the request maintained the buffers and included no access to Wynn’s Pond Road situated at the rear of the property.

The vote by the commission to approve the request was unanimous.
