Muslims outraged Congress serving Pork for Christmas

4 BILLION DOLLARS worth of PORK

"More than 5,000 earmarks were included in the $447 billion omnibus spending bill passed yesterday by the House, funding "pet projects" of key members of Congress from both parties and all regions of the country. The Senate will vote on the bill this weekend." ABC News (Another of my fictional websites)

The 2010 omnibus bill passed the House by a 221-202 vote -- all Republicans and 28 Democrats opposing it.

•$750,000 for the World Food Prize in Des Moines, IA;

•$350,000 for the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, GA;

•$250,000 for a bike path between Lexington and Port Sanilac, MI;

•$350,000 to widen Bristol Street in Santa Ana, CA;

•$300,000 to Carnegie Hall in New York City;

•$200,000 to renovate the Laredo Little Theatre in Laredo, TX;

•$400,000 to renovate the historic Ritz Theater in Newburgh NY.

"No End in Sight"

"In the past year, Congress has passed a $700 billion financial bailout and a $1.1 trillion stimulus. They are also considering a $1.2 trillion health care expansion, a $200 billion Medicare "doc fix," and an $800 billion cap-and-trade bill. Now, with another 8 percent discretionary spending hike, Congress has seemingly lost the ability to say "no."
(Heritage.org)

$2.2 million went to a failing golf course in San Francisco

• $54 million for a California "wine train"

• $1.5 million went to fossil research in Argentina

• $75,000 went to puppet shows and a clown theater

• Almost $400,000 for people to keep journals of their malt liquor and marijuana use

• $200,000 to study the "hookup" behavior of college students

• $500,000 to study how people use Facebook

• $220,000 on the study of birds, the sex drive of rats and the "caste system" and division of labor in ants

"I am signing an imperfect omnibus bill because it's necessary for the ongoing functions of government," Obama said at the time. "But I also view this as a departure point for more far-reaching change." For those of you that think he will veto the pork...

Have you had enough yet? Both parties are over. They do not care about the Citizens.

We are running a 1.4 TRILLION dollar deficit but yet we are throwing money around like we are printing it.. Oh we are..

btw.. A Federal Judge ruled that cutting off funds for ACORN was illegal???!!!???

So Congress can start funneling our Tax Dollars to then again..

READY TO JOIN A TEA PARTY NEAR YOU?

Typical 'Fox News' type heading - with no substance. Muslims? Are you saying they are the only ones outraged over the 'pork'?

Or is she accepting of throwing around a few Trillion dollars of additional spending about? Democrat or Republican....we should ALL be outraged. There is no justification for such waste.

Hey...does anyone remember when we used to complain about throwing a billion or two around in a wasteful manner? I really don't think anyone really understands the difference between Trillions and Billions.

is to put aside our differences and focus on what we have in common. Americans have always had the power to control our government by our votes. This whole right vs left, conservative vs liberal, stuff is only serving to keep us divided and weak.

we don't need to be spending $3M on bicycle racks for Georgetown nor $250K for a bike path in MI. What a complete waste of our taxes.

The Senate will vote tomorrow and it will probably pass. It's reported that the President will sign it even though he has stated that he opposes increasing the debt. And let's not forget that health care along with illegal amnesty program is still in the wings.

You know, what disgusts the heck out of me is that there are some Repubs that will vote against it but will actually benefit with it's passing because of "pork" projects. Who the heck can we trust anymore?

250K for a bike path? 3M for bike racks? Good grief!!! Don't these fools know how many people are without healthcare right now?

You know what disgusts me? Having wealthy socialist preach to the people about redistributing wealth.

Regardless of this 'catch 22' situation - we need to start paying down this debt. One way is 'more money'. NOT necessarily raising taxes - but putting people back to work so that their 'income tax' can start paying down this deficit. More people working - less unemployment checks. This administration has to come up with JOBS. The unemployment in Georgia is double digit - for 'blacks' 16%. This is why the Black Caucus is upset - as are most of their constituents. Wouldn't you be if the unemployment rate in Fayette County was 16% and your job had been 'cut'? Those who are most affected by this mess are going to yell the loudest - as it should be. . .and a lot of people throughout our country are affected. . .one way or another.

The problem about the "Guv" creating jobs is that it will not put everyone to work. The economy shrank by almost 13% which is about $1.8 Trillion. The Guv lacks the wherewithal to replace that money. So with the limited resources at hand who determines who gets one of these "Guv" jobs?

Good question. From my limited knowledge, I feel the banks should release some of this credit to small businesses so that they can rehire their people. I don't think all of the responsibility rests with the 'government'. (But I certainly don't pretend to understand the accounting part of finance)

because this debt (which is owed to the privately controlled Federal Reserve Central Bank INC.) is mathematically impossible to pay back. You must know how the money system works to clearly understand why this is so. I'll try to make it as quick and painless as possible:

The Federal Reserve is a central bank: an institution that produces the currency for the entire nation. Based on historical precedent, two specific powers are inherent in central banking practice: the control of interest rates, and the control of the money supply or inflation.

The central bank does not simply supply the government’s economy with money, it “loans” it to them, at interest, then through the use of increasing and decreasing the supply of money, the central bank regulates the value of the currency being issued.

It is critical to understand, that the entire structure of this system can only produce one thing in the long run: DEBT! It doesn’t take a lot of brains to figure this scam out: for every single dollar produced by the central bank is loaned at interest. That means every single dollar produced is actually the dollar plus a certain percentage of debt based on that dollar. Since the central bank has the monopoly over the production of the currency for the entire country, and may loan each dollar out with immediate debt attached to it, where does the money to pay for the debt come from? It can only come from the central bank again, which means the central bank has to perpetually increase its money supply to temporarily cover the outstanding debt created, which in turn, since that new money is loaned out at interest as well, creates even MORE DEBT!

The end result of this system, without fail is SLAVERY, for it is impossible for the government and thus its citizens, to ever come out of the SELF GENERATING DEBT!

The FICA taken from our paychecks goes directly to pay the interest owed on the money borrowed from the FED by the DC government, and nothing else. The interstate highways you say? Nope, gasoline and other fuel taxes pay for that. National defense and military? The defense budget is tailored to the income taxes paid by the corporate entities. Schools? Property taxes. Public works? SPLOST anyone?

Sorry DM, I ain't trying to bust your chops, but you have got to understand that we, and many generations forward are endentured slaves to these elitest banksters unless we all, and I mean ALL stand up and scream at the top of our lungs:

"WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THAT GOODNIGHT!!! WE WON'T BECOME YOUR SLAVES WITHOUT A FIGHT!!! WE ARE FREE SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUALS NO LONGER DIVIDED BY YOUR LEFT VS RIGHT PROPAGANDA!!! YOU ARE CRIMINALS!!! YOU ARE LIARS!!! YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!!!

Rep. Ron Paul's Audit the FED bill is set to pass the senate hopefully before Christmas!!! This will finally show the entire country, and the world the treachery perpetrated by these sick, evil, elitist scum who consider us no more than cannon fodder for the wars they fund both sides of in most cases.

Elitist bankers - bringing their game to light in no way 'bust my chops'. In the meantime, how do we get ourselves out of this mess? How did the Clinton administration end up with a surplus? (Not a sarcastic question - I really don't know.) I love the statement - YOU ARE UNDER ARREST! Does the country have the political will to do this? I hope your answer is yes. Where do we find the experts who can lead us out of this mess without causing further devastation? Our we (the citizens) willing to make the necessary sacrifice for this 'change' to happen?

Clinton wasn't waging two very big, very far away, and very expensive wars.
Once the Federal Reserve System is audited political will of the people will be replaced by Grand Jury Indictments of all involved in gangster/bankster activity; you know, insider trading, and manipulation of Wall Street. Not to mention all the secret deals with FOREIGN banks.

It's interesting that some of the credit card companies (banks) are beginning to extend 'credit' to us 'little people'. This little person has already made the decision to 'change' - and I won't be using plastic to make my holiday 'happy'. I sincerely believe that you are right about the 'political will' of the people - liberal or conservative. We (the little people) have found out that life goes on without all the 'material' things that we thought we had to have. I hope that small businesses get the loans they need. A friend had his credit limited by a big credit card company. His reaction? He stopped allowing his customers to use that credit card. He found out he didn't need the services of that company - customers had other cards. I'm certainly not a student of finances - but this fiasco has me listening to my husband more (he's one of those with outstanding credit) He would not play the game with the credit card companies/banks. Well - now I won't either! They can take their high interest percents and flush them! I'm anxious to see what happens after the bankers and the President talk. Once we know the truth about past practices - I hope citizens will see the need for 'regulation' on the banking business in this country.

I once knew someone back in the 70's that got 180K to study the sex habits of barnacles in South Florida. This research was apiece of a puzzle to help keep our Oceans healthy. Politicians must spend tax money and it is easy because they deal in 1000's within billions like some deal with pesty pennies. In addition citizens frown on their tax money being used to feed those unable, or to help those that have health issues because that smells like welfare. They opine that since they do not need help (gov't loans for education aside) others don't deserve it either. So what are you going to spend (buy votes) on except to help barnacles enjoy a good wine before and good smoke after.

Nothing gets discovered if scientists aren't paid to do research.
The museums and roads are simply "American." The Army has hundreds!

If we know what an ant and a pot head does, maybe we can help them!

You can bet your rear end that no state governor or assembly will ever do any of this stuff if he ever wants elected again! They do take the money however that someone else approves!
Sonny took a lot he said that he wouldn't! He never dreamed of doing it with only GA money however.

No Interstates would have been built with only state money----none, not a mile.
