What have you done to honor the hometown team? You know, The state champions, Sandy Creek Patriots (over on Jenkins Road)!!! A parade? Nope. A banner? Nope. A congrats ad in the paper? Nope. NO Fayette county football team has ever won a state championship title. Had any other Fayette city had their team bring home a historic championship, bets are there would have been a celebration (or at least an acknowledgement). Thanks Town of Tyrone! Go Creek!!!

Why more for football than for all the other sports we have won championships in?

It's a money maker, etc.. Simple as that.

This is not an explanation, but we do live in a society that uses the football field as a unit of measurement for comparison purposes.

It's not easy being the carbonunit

Sandy Creek isn't in Tyrone, it's in the county.

We don't even welcome back war heroes. Why should high school football players be any different.

Congratulations Pats!!!! Great job!

PBS didn't carry the game - it was Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) that carried the game. PBS had nothing to do with it.
