Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer Love Feasts in Moravian Tradition on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. All worshipers will be served specially-baked Love Feast buns, Moravian coffee, and beeswax candles dressed with a red paper “ruff.”

The theme of this year’s Love Feasts is “Glory to God in the Highest.” Vivaldi’s “Gloria” will anchor the program, sung by Sanctuary Choir accompanied by strings and conducted by James C. Hagberg.

Also on the program are Natalie Sleeth’s “Jazz Gloria” and a Puerto Rican “Gloria,” along with Moravian and traditional carols for all to sing.

Ensembles providing music are The Christ Our Shepherd Brass, Flute Choir, Joyful Noise Ringers, the Love Feast Consort, and The Shepherd’s Band, a middle-school group which will combine with the Brass to play carols as a “Moravian” church band. Karl Dietmeyer and David Beecher conduct those groups. Preludes will begin a half-hour before each Love Feast.

The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

It's also possible that you can get your feet washed first, and just maybe some lamb or beef with a bowl of sop. Served to you right at your bench.
Some of the Northern US groups also serve beer. (PTC probably will be more selective)( it would take gallons and gallons of sop for that huge group!)

Now that is true love!
