By: John Munford

On election eve, only one candidate in tomorrow’s runoff election in Peachtree City failed to timely file their most recent campaign contribution disclosure reports.
Bob Walsh, who is running for City Council Post 3 [corrected], failed to file his report by Monday afternoon, the final date for candidates to file such reports before they are considered “late.”
The mayor and Post 3 council candidates last had to file on Oct. 25. Because the Post 1 race is a special election for an unexpired term, their last filing for the race was Oct. 19
What follows is the updated figures and donor listings for each candidate.

Peachtree City Mayor

Don Haddix: Total $555 in cash contributions this period; $225 of which were above the $101 mark that requires disclosure of donors.
The $225 donation came from Robert Ross of Peachtree City.
So far, Haddix has raised $3,098.24 in cash and $86.46 in-kind contributions for the entire election cycle.

Cyndi Plunkett: Total $2,530 in cash this period; $1,705 of which were above the $101 mark that requires disclosure of donors.

Marlla McMahan, Peachtree City, $150
Michael Amos, Peachtree City, $200
Anita Shippen, Atlanta, $1,000

So far Plunkett has raised $16,240 in cash and $2,863.14 in in-kind contributions for the entire election cycle.

Post 1 City Council

Eric Imker: Total $2,906 in cash this reporting period, all of which were donations from the candidate.
So far, Imker has raised $228 cash in a donation from himself and another $862 in in-kind contributions

Beth Pullias: Total $1,034 in cash and $40 in in-kind contributions this period; all of the cash donations were above the $101 mark that requires disclosure of donors.
The donation was in the form of a $1,034 loan from the candidate toward the campaign.
So far Pullias has raised $2,631.77 in cash and $80 in in-kind contributions.

Post 3 City Council

Kim Learnard: Total $625 cash and $155 in in-kind contributions this period. Of the cash, $350 was above the $101 mark that requires disclosure of donors.

There is one candidate who made it her life work to vote against the taxpayer for big developers every chance she got. Let's follow her lead and vote against her today.

Haddix for Mayor.

Add Mike Amos of Group VI to her list of local developers wanting to score big on a Plunkett victory.

Mr. Mumford, Please update your article to change, "Bob Walsh, who is running for City Council Post 1" should read Post 3. Just a typo I'm sure. Thanks, Eric Imker, Candidate for Post #1

Tonight, I watched the Comcast broadcast of the PTC Mayor and Council race candidates state their views however it stated Mr. Imker declined to participate. I am not sure why any candidate would decline a free opportunity for TV time to state their views. As I remember, Logsdon declined to debate Brown and still won the race.

Good strategy. As of now he is just a name, but a TV interview would position him as a big bad bully trying to beat up on the demure little lady who is his opponent.

Sure worked for Logsdon, although I think Comvast took a lot of heat because it was obvious that their free TV ad for Brown was a campaign contribution, although that may have been something else. I do know he weaseled out of it because the Andy person at Comcast refused to testify at Brown's ethics hearing.

Yea - great strategy - don't say anything and a majority of PTC elected the current Mayor. I laughed when our current Mayor got elected and he refused to debate Brown and still won. Then for the last few years people in PTC complain about the Mayor. HELLO - that raised a warning flag for me when candidates refuse to debate.

Mr. Imker seems to be a humble, intelligent man when speaking with him in person, and his background speaks of his integrity. I wish you a royal flush in the election today!
