David Ring, who wears many volunteer hats working with recreation programs in Peachtree City, was recently named Volunteer of the Year for the population category of 30,000 to 80,000 by the Georgia Park and Recreation Association at their annual conference in Jekyll Island. Ring is chairman of the Peachtree City Recreation Commission, member of the city’s Tourism Association and has been a Little League volunteer for over a decade. The award cited Ring for his extensive work, including achievements that have led to improvements and advancements in leisure services in Peachtree City. “The staff recognizes the value of the input Dave provides as he has not only worked or served in almost every position in Little League, the Recreation Commission and the Tourism Association, but he has an educational background and work experience in recreation,” said Recreation Administrator Sherry McHugh. “So, he knows his stuff and we really appreciate his help over the years.” login to post comments |
