Unemployment payments

Georgia never has enough money to support her people who lose their job.

These people now on unemployment were working just before they filed since one can not draw unemployment nor be counted as unemployed unless you file for unemployment when you are laid off.

There are million unemployed who quit looking for a job and thus can not draw unemployment. Neither can those working part-time regardless as to how little they make.

Then there are the company owner law violators who pay cash for their workers and don't list them as employees--no unemployment when he fires them.

It confounds me when politicians such as our Georgia representatives vote against the federal government providing money for the state to administer so that these legitimately unemployed people can collect their $300 approximate dollars per week and not have to beg for food.

That is about $15,000 per year---won't even pay for family health insurance and Little else besides food for a family.

What are they thinking?

Even the people drawing food stamps get those continued!

How about "Just say no," as Nancy Reagan said?
How about "let them eat cake," as Marie Antoinette said?
How about "let them go to Grady or any emergency room," as was written in the newspaper?

Or, let the churches do that work, or have them go door to door, or "save their money while working."
