The fall of the Berlin Wall took place almost 20 years ago...

and symbolized the collapse of a system of government and a philosophy that simply could not sustain itself. Those brave people that protested and died in order to rid their lands of government imposed parasitic ideas of wealth distribution and alike are truly heroes. They understood that living under a such government forced a way of life that suppressed the natural abilities of man to move forward to create better conditions. They also knew that government is not the solution for all problems. They further knew that there would be a cycle of good times as well as lean and yet in spite this; they still yearned for a form of government that would free them.

Now here we are, some 20 years later, with a government that believes it can solve all problems for all people through the same parasitic ideas that others rebelled against.

Cy, I was reading yesterday about how Obama has declined to attend the celebration of the fall of the Wall. Merkel invited him but I guess he is just too busy taking care of the War in Afghanistan and helping Corzine lose New Jersey!

he was scrounging around in the Whitehouse for some more "gifts" to send back to our allies to insult them just a little more.. He was probably looking for that piece of "The Wall" that Reagan got so he could throw it back.
