10.2% Unemployment how is that Stimulus working?

S. Lindsey's picture

Remember when we were told that we HAD just HAD to pass the Stimilus package or America was going to Crash.. Unemployment was going to go over 8%.

Well how is that working out?

Another Obama broken promise.. Shocking..

This President and the “leaders” in Congress just don't understand how capitalism works. The President says, 9 months into his term, that "small business will lead us out of this recession". Wow! Really! I would've never guessed! As a small business owner, I personally believe higher taxes to fund government health care, and huge increases in utility bills, for “Cap and Tax” are all I need to motivate me to grow my business. After all, I'm still paying my bills. Of course, I've reduced my workforce, cut expenses to the bone, cut my salary and increased my workload to 80+ hours per week, but hey, I am willing to sacrifice even more for Barack, Nancy and Harry's grand plans....no...not really. What have the President and Congress done to give me the incentive to expand or re-hire? Were's the reward for risk? 'Cause that's what it is you know...risk. Just a couple more taxes and a larger utility bill and the bank, and later you, the taxpayer, can have this business! Oh, and by the way...you can have my house, cars, cards, equipment, and everything else too, it simply is not worth the time and stress. Sincerely, A small business owner

Snappynappy, you are not alone. As a small business owner also, I am currently searching for a job. We have done all we can to survive and rarely take a paycheck anymore. Like you said, it's simply not worth the stress anymore.

Obama won't raise your taxes if you aren't making a lot of money!
(over 250,000 net income).

You won't need to pay for your employees total health plan, just pay a reasonable fee if you don't.

Your problems were caused by greedy people who caused a horrible recession by too much credit and too many multi-millionaires!

You are either very naive...or very stupid. This is the only response you deserve. It will be my last to you.

I hear you. I don't know why anyone would want to own a small business in todays environment. But I admire you for trying. As for Bonkers just pretend that he's the grumpy old man that lives under the bridge and yells at everyone as they go by. (I don't respond to him either)*LOL*

Write George W. and ask him how come his recession caused you apparently so many layoffs, more taxes, loss of cards?, and no credit to use, won't you?
