I would like to see more positive writing on Sandy Creek! This is their second year of awesome football and still we don't get respect! Maybe when we go to the dome? Any other team in the county gets plenty of recognition even when they lose. I really don't understand the bias. You should put self aside when writing. You need to give equal time to all the team and support all the Fayette co. schools, especially the ones winning. Sandy Creek only gets noticed if something goes wrong. Lets cheer our winning county school teams on please! It is only fair and right! I cheer for the other schools when not up against Creek and hope everyone else can too.

mamadutt, with all due respect, you don't know of what you speak. This isn't Sandy Creek's second year of awesome football, SC has a long tradition of GREAT FOOTBALL!!! I remember a stretch not too long ago when Creek won 21 straight regular season games!! Winning football is not new to Sandy Creek. With that being said, I have not seen any bias for you to "understand". I see regular schools/scores updates win or loose. I'm afraid my dear that you don't have a clue. Good luck to you, you'll need it.

They way I’ve understood it in years past, no one from Sandy Creek (football staff during football season and baseball staff during baseball season) would ever call in or write a little blip to the Citizen for print. The other 4 high schools in the county have someone call in/write information so the sports editor can make sure it gets to print.

Like with all schools, I get some good information, some times, from a variety of schools and sports. Some are better than others. I think everybody gets covered about the same - especially in football - because I would be savaged if the scores weren't up on Friday and the story wasn't in the next possible paper.

I would love it if every team had a coach or parent who would call or e-mail the score and the top players after a game or meet, but I realize that they are as busy as I am, if not busier. Sandy Creek football has a killer web site and they update their stats regularly. It is awesome and incredibly helpful.

No worries. I'm doing the best I can and that's good enough for most people. Certainly good enough for me and good enough for the guy who signs my checks.

Looking forward to the playoffs and I definitely think Creek has a good shot at making the Dome.

With the lack of staff you guys have, you do an awesome job covering everyone in the county. I definitely remember a time when Sandy Creek REALLY didn't get any press from The Citizen.

Thanks for the shout out on the website! A couple of the Alumni parents take care of it.

Yo, Patriotdad, win a few games and see what happens. Keep it up. The Citizen (and me) would love nothing more than to have a Fayette County School football program mentioned in the same conversation as the big boys.

There are only a few writers for the Citizen and even fewer for the Sports section. The Creek has been written about prior in the season (yes, they were winning then too, except for that outlier-ECHS) and now it's time to focus on other schools. Attention will return once the Creek faces a major opponent. Although, I don't see that happening until Playoffs.
