Where has all the “Common Sense” gone?

You remember Common Sense don’t you? You know those “Rules of Thumb” your Mother and Father gave you, “don’t touch that it’s hot”, “don’t talk with your mouth full”. You know those “Common Sense” things.

Common Sense was something I thought everyone already had. That it did not need to be “taught”. In the last year I have come to see that just maybe it is a “Learned” thing. Maybe most Moms did not in fact teach this to their Children.

Because apparently People actually believe that spending Trillions of Dollars we don’t have is a good thing.

We are now 1.4 TRILLION in debt. Record levels mind you.

Triple what that last fiscally irresponsible administration ran up (you know the one that all the Liberals blasted that Administration over) and yet our Government wants to spend anywhere from 800 Billion to 2 Trillion as Harry Reid said it cost, or the CBO estimate of 4 Trillion on a Universal Healthcare plan that will not even cover everyone.

A plan, mind you, that a MAJORITY of AMERICANS now say they DO NOT WANT OR NEED.

A plan that Congress will not even read..

A plan that has not been reviewed by the very people it will affect the most…

Next comes the Aspire program.. $500 for every baby.. More for less advantaged babies. Billions needed for that.

Then Universal Education another plan to give a College degree to everyone.. Billions needed for that one..

Both costing Billions we don’t have..

So here I sit.. Wondering where “Common Sense” has gone.. I remember the admonishments of my Father when I broke something or wanted something he would say..”We are not made of Money” or “Money doesn’t grow on trees”.

I was taught if you wanted something you got to have the money first to buy it. If you don’t have the money… get a job and earn it.. Sound “Common Sense” advise..

I wish this Administration and the Politicians in Washington would have been taught these lessons.

Looks like we need to teach them some “Old Fashioned” Common Sense” before it is too late.

I don't know who first said this but I remind my kids all the time that "Common Sense isn't all that common".

It's all being done in order to retain POWER. That's all liberals care about. They don't care about anyone having health care - they only care about having power over people's lives.

This debacle known as "healthcare reform" is nothing but another government boondoggle being forced upon us by Obama and his cronies.

$1T reform for 5%

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

closer to 4 Trillion + Government has never overestimated or even come close to hitting a projection.. It they say 1 you can bet 3-4 Trillion or more..

Common Sense

It may sound trite, and too simple an answer to some but until someone can convince me of a better explanation - These are the actions that an administration that is hell-bent on destroying this country from within would exactly be taking. Devalue the dollar to the point where we will have hyper-inflation and the value of our assets will drop to nothing and we will be a third world country.

Guess what: Socialism looks pretty good now.
