Just say NO to Special Olympics

I just received a call from Special Olympics soliciting money; in the past, I have made some small donations. I listened patiently to the seemingly nice person, then proceeded to tell her I could not donate because of a recent pay cut...she HUNG UP on me in mid-sentence. I won't be sending any more support to Special Olympics; if they cannot extend me the same courtesy I extend them by listening, then, they will not get my hard-earned dollars.

Please, please continue to support this event. All donations, no matter how small support this activity. The adults are all volunteers. I am reporting your incident. It is disgusting that anyone would be so rude in these economic times. The joy expressed on the faces of the participants make the volunteer work worthwhile! Your donation makes medals, uniforms, etc. available to the participants. Some venues have even donated the venue. I'm assuming you are here in Fayette County - so that the administrators will have an idea where this incident happened. Thanks for sharing.

You were not talking to the Special Olympics, you were probably talking to an outbound call center representative who is getting commissions. I recommend that you make a complaint to the Special Olympics so they can rid themselves of that problem.

It's not easy being the carbonunit
