An elderly north Fayette woman was forced by two phony female police officers to withdraw money from her bank account Wednesday, sheriff's detectives said.

After they drove her to Riverdale to do so, the suspects abandoned the victim at the Church's Chicken in Riverdale, detectives said.

The victim was in her home when the two suspects arrived at her door posing as police officers, officials said. The suspects showed the victim law enforcement badges and told her she was under investigation for making counterfeit money, officials said.

The phony officers threatened the victim with arrest multiple times if she didn't provide them with money from her bank account, officials said.

The two suspects are described as a black female and a white female driving a dark blue four-door car. The black female is described as being at least 40 years old and having short black hair with red highlights. The white female was said to be at least 30 years old with blond hair.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Investigator Brent Rowan at 770-716-4755.
