Only 3 years ? Talk about a sweetheart deal...Guess his age played a factor, plus his first offense. But what a first offense it was!

Question - What is the ( average ) sentence for aggravated assault with a weapon in GA? What do the guidelines say? Anyone know?

With our present justice system, he'll come out a better criminal instead of a better citizen. He'll be 'street smart', buff, and unfortunately proud of his record of serving time. We need to provide rehabilitation to those who may benefit from such opportunities. Without rehab we're just putting better criminals on the street.

If he would have shot the guy what would he have gotten, five years?

How would you feel if a guy stuck a loaded gun in your mouth and robbed you, then they caught him and you were in and out of court for 10 months, and all he got was three years for it? Of course he will get credit for timed served I feel certain.

How about, oh, let's say about 20 minimum for armed robbery with say 12 or more to serve?
