A start-up automotive company backed by former Vice President Al Gore has been loaned more than half a billion dollars by the federal government.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Fisker Automotive Inc. has received $529 million in taxpayer money. The loan was intended to help Fikser produce a hybrid sports car to be sold in Finland.

"This is not for average Americans," Leslie Paige, a spokeswoman for Citizens Against Government Waste, told the Journal. "This is for people to put something in their driveway that is a conversation piece. It's a status symbol thing."

FINLAND..OMG.. We have the Government running Car Companys here in the USA and we give... yes give.. this is no loan.. A HALF OF A BILLION DOLLARS to build an "Elite" car for the RICH.. and the Dems say the Repubs are the party for the Rich..

And then there is Barack going to Copenhagen to beg for the olympics in his home town. First president to ever do this. Troops are being killed, the country has gone to hell, 52% unemployment in the ages of 18 to 24 ages. Massive foreclosures, banks lie and wont help, it will get worse with commercial and residential forclosures. But we need the olympics in Chicago. I hope he fails. We dont need it.
