Peachtree City mayoral candidates Harold Logsdon and Dar Thompson are getting a tremendous amount of financial support, according to campaign financial disclosure statements filed by both candidates recently.

Logsdon has raised $18,325 total since he first announced for election, and Thompson has raised $12,700. Comparatively, incumbent Mayor Steve Brown has only raised $900.

Of course, the winner of the mayor seat and two city council seats will be declared based on who gets the most votes in the Nov. 8 city election, but sometimes campaign finance reports can provide a glimpse into who has the upper hand. The reports are publicly-available records, and by law candidates are required to list each contributor who gave $101 or more.

Following is a list of each candidate, how much they have received in campaign funds, and who is listed as giving contributions of $101 or more on the Sept. 30 report.
