Football in PTC

Do you have football and hockey teams in PTC and what other sports are offered for kids? Can they ride dirt bikes or four wheelers anywhere? Can you swim and fish in the lakes? How often do you get snow?

jjen,
You can fish in PTC lakes with the valid fishing permits, no swimming in our lakes is allowed. That is strickly enforced by our local law enforcement. We do have numerouse city pools and there are private pools also at the some of the golf clubs and fitness clubs. So plenty of other places than the lakes to swim in.
You can use boats that are powered by wind, man or electric motors on our lakes. No gas motors unless you are one of the few who are grandfathered in on Lake Peachtree.
We also have street hockey but not ice hockey no ice rinks in our county. No snow that last longer than a few hours either.
We do have miles and miles of golf cart paths to walk, ride bikes, run or drive your golf cart on.
I hope that helps.

Jjen, nearby trails are few and far between. Decent trails are, on average, about two hours from here. There are several tracks, but we tend to steer clear of those. Check out www.gartra.net for the Georgia Recreational Trail Riders Association to get locations for riding. These folks do a great job maintaining the trails. Enjoy!

There is much to offer here in the way of sports for everyone on every level!!! I think you will find a lot of the information you are looking for by visiting the web site

If you are looking for competative baseball with the aspirations of your boy making the varsity High School team, then you need to look at the Georgia USSSA's web site.

Stay far away from Little League!!! They spoon feed the boys, which for some is okay, but not for the ones that plan to take it to a higher level. Good Luck and have fun!!

Jjen,
We have football, roller hockey, fishing, wouldn't swim in the lake but that's just a personal preference, and little snow. There are places for dirtbiking and 4-wheeling.

Mom to 3, plus a few strays
