We worship music by immoral people

Many of our so-called best music writers of old were certainly totally immoral. It seems to go with the arts more so than any other profession.

I'm not suggesting that a band instructor and a choir director fit into that genius category, but believe me such philandering has been occurring in middle and high schools since time immemorial.
I can vouch for many, many years ago.

One question come to mind about this case however and that is it is my understanding that neither of these two are currently married and do date each other.
The crime seems to be that they used "Craig's List." The coppers were checking that.

If it were merely soliciting prostitution, in duo or uno, it apparently is hardly a law that is enforced in Atlanta.
There are hundreds of prostitutes, male and female in Atlanta, or so the mayor says, and yet one sees little if any arrests of the "Johns and Janes." Just an occasional arrest of the prostitute who is released immediately.

Now, you say they are teachers and therefore are "go and sin no more" creatures? No, you say, they are TEACHERS! So What?

It has been proved that 76% of the girls and boys over 14 are sleeping with each other. Teachers don't cause that---heritage does.

These two will have to transfer to Tennessee or Alabama due to the publicity but they will continue to make a living and "influence" "children."

The answer is with the parents.

must be held to a higher standard in my opinion. I think all teachers, law enforcement, public servants, medical professionals, etc. should obey each and every law we have and if they break them they should expect there to be consequences that involve their employment.
I do not want to hear either of these two teachers whine about losing their jobs and I don't want to hear their friends or lawyers whine for them.
We have got to hold certain people to higher standards. I work in the hospital industry and I am big on high standards and excellence. Hospitals and school systems can't go around saying they want to achieve excellence in medicine or education and have all this kind of stuff going on with their employees. There is nothing wrong with the public demanding their teachers, hospital workers, etc. have integrity, ethics, and don't go out and break the law.
It has been my observation in life that if a person is doing bad things in their personal life, they are also doing bad things in their professional life (I am not speaking of the two teachers).
I do not hold anyone to any standards that I don't hold myself to.

Yes, by all means, hold these teachers to high standards. I guess the problem is--whose standards? Just because you believe that certain acts are immoral doesn't make it so. What about the law? I suppose you have never broken any laws. I'm sure that you flagged down a policeman the last time you were speeding and had him give you a ticket. Oh, and I know that medical office you work for charges everyone the same price for the same service regardless of insurance. It is immoral to me that the dual pricing system exists but, that's my morality.

You see, I don't believe it necessary to beat up on these people because they are teachers unless they are impacting our children. Just because they enjoy something other than the missionary position doesn't make them bad persons. This holier-than-thou rhetoric is just so much bunk!
