Just like Abortion... On the Citizen BLOG and every Democrat they have paraded on the TV has categorically denied Abortions will be paid for in the Healthcare bill.. I have chronicled here over and over that they are lying..

Fact is most Illegal’s already participate in FREE Healthcare.. and a proposed Medicare overhaul would include them as well by "paying" the bill to Medical facilities that provide care.. An end around..? Sure.. So was Obama lying about Illegal Aliens being covered in the Universal Healthcare Bill.. No he was not.. Was he telling the truth about the Government covering them?

Capt. Connie Rhodes has filed a complaint to fight deployment to Afghanistan on the grounds that President Obama isn't a natural born American citizen. What's funny is that the same nutjob lawyer Orly Taitz -- a national figure in the ridiculous "birther" movement -- is representing her. The complaint, which was filed last Friday in the Columbus division of U.S. District Court, is similar to the July 8 suit filed by Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, who sought conscientious objector status and a temporary injunction. Judge Clay Land, who heard Cook's case in July and tossed it out, will hear Rhodes’ case.

In South Carolina’s 2nd District, a retired Marine, Iraq veteran, and small businessman named Robert Miller is trying to get his political career off the ground. He only had $48K in his campaign fund and will be running against an incumbent opponent. His chance for success was very small until last night when Republican Congressman Joe Wilson called out, “You Lie!” during the Presidents address to a joint session of congress. At lunchtime today Mr. Miller’s campaign fund increased by $100K. By 6 o’clock it was up by $400K, and the money continues to roll in.

What Congressman Joe Wilson did was silly. Even with all the advantages of being an incumbent, it would still have been easier for him to fight back a challenger with $48K than one with $400K plus.

Although the call out itself was the buzz of the day, I thought the funniest moment was when Madame Speaker Pelosi turned her head to see who said it. She turned her head so fast I thought it was going to go all the way around like that teenage girls head in the movie “The Exorcist.” The reason I had my eye on Speaker Pelosi was because I’ve been getting chain-mail all month about her being a Nazi, and I was looking for the swastikas. I didn’t see any so, once again, I must have been misinformed.

What else would you expect from a man who idolized, and worked for, Strom Thurmond? I think Joe was really attempting to create a raucous, townhall atmosphere, however, nobody followed his lead and he ended up looking like a total idiot in front of millions of people - LOL!

Wilson's "anti-healthcare reform" posturing could also stem from the fact that his largest campaign contributors are *drum roll* from the health-care industry. So, he's not only a rude, southern racist, he's in bed with the healthcare industry.

Joe Wilson may be rude, he may be crude, he may be the dirtiest of politicians but this article is crap. While people are following your link, Maidstream, let's dig all the dirt out of the closet.

I already did, and have it printed out in front of me as I write. Use your source and compare the contributions made to Joe Wilson vs. any local/southern state Representative. Do you see any great differences? There are those trying to dig up dirt on Joe Wilson, and maybe there is dirt to be found, but this isn't dirt - it's just cookie crumbs.

Let's compare the political contributors of the presidential candidates. OpenSecrets will furnish it; who was B.O.'s largest contributer by industry? Lawyers/Law Firms to the tune of $2,460,610 in 2006. Was he anything other than a no-show Senator at that time? The other senator, to-be-presidential candidate, his largest contributor was only $344,272 from "Retired".

But it's the dreaded Health Professionals category that is very interesting, as it appears in 2006 they donated $361,713 to Obama and $76,400 to McCain. If this is the criteria that proves Joe Wilson is the health care darling, I guess Obama is into something deeper than their pockets.

In fact, by industry, Obama's top 8 contributors by industry, paid more to Obama before any figure gets close to McCain's #1. It is the $1,152,332 to the former Senator Obama from the Securities & Investment Industry, $394,448 from Misc. Finance & $282,053 from Commercial Banks, those are the ones I have been wondering about.

The opinion of two associate professors penning an oped for a "progressive" website stating that Mr Obama is and has been considered an "other" by members of both political parties, by no means translates into Rep Wilson being a racist. Could it be that you realize that Mr Obama was less than totally honest last evening? I mean after all, he is considered a politician and as such, my opinion is that none are truly honest.

I listened to Obama's healthcare speech last night. I was deeply disappointed. Rep Wilson's outburst was uncivil, but understandable. Obama repeatedly lied throughout the speech. In fact, I even found myself shouting at the TV, especially when Obama claimed his healthcare plan would cost nothing - that it would be paid for with savings by cleaning up Medicare fraud, waste and abuse. What a farce. Medicare is bankrupt - and has cost us many times over its original cost projections.
Obama’s fatal flaw is his ego. During the campaign, Obama boasted to Harry Reid, "I have a gift." With impressive oratory, he successfully won the office by convincing the American public that he was something he is not - a "uniter". But his speechifying only goes so far. It is one thing to convince a gullible American public - entirely another to convince a joint session of Congress you are being truthful. They know when you are lying. And Joe Wilson knew he was being lied to. So do I.
Obama’s huge ego and naiveté were showcased during his apology tour. Obama made two egregious mistakes. First, he believed that his “gift” of oratory (his ability to pander to the masses) would translate in to some kind of miraculous ability to persuade foreign leaders. He failed miserably. Savvy leaders like Putin and Netanyahu promptly sat him down and gave Obama an earful. Second, he believed that apologizing for America would aggrandize himself in the eyes of foreign leaders. Wrong again. They see Obama as a very weak leader - a pushover.
But what disappointed me the most about Obama’s speech was that he made no attempt to unify the country. He made no attempt to prove he had listened or heard the American public. Instead he used Alinsky based tactics intended to demonize the opposition.
His tactics will backfire. And the opposition will become more united. Because America is waking up to the recent tripling of the deficit. And they are “Mad as Hell” and just simply not going to take it any more.
It is time to get engaged and stop this reckless spending spree. Universal Healthcare is not a constitutionally based “right”. We already have the best healthcare system in the world. Could it be better? Absolutely. But the President’s plan, which has the hidden long-term goal of establishing a single payer system that will drive insurance companies out of business, will sound the death knell of democracy in favor of creating a permanent nanny state. That’s exactly where democratic legislators want you - powerless and dependent. Just my two cents.

It is not in the health plan--no more than we knowingly treat illegals now. It was not a lie.
No one has ever asked me at the hospital whether I was illegal or not---have they you?
What if they had, I had no proof. Do you? Even illegals have driver's licenses and SS cards.

You asked how can Medicare pay for the health care plan (actually about half of it) when it is broke!
Well because we send new money to the Medicare plan every day and once the waste is eliminated there will be enough left to pay for the new plan!

I don't know who these masses are that Obama "Panders" to, but I'm not one of them!

Putin and Netanyahu are worse crooks and politicians than Cheney and Reagan were.

The only deficit tripling done in recent years was Reagan and Bush 2.

We have the worst health care system in the world, it is breaking us.

Reckless death knells and nannies will make us powerless!

Insurance companies need to be "put out of business," so that others can start over properly! They had their chance to solve the problem and instead tripled the costs in a very few years.

Maybe Bonkie Baby goes to four doctors to get four prescriptions for the little blue pill--after all, the news does come on more than once a day. Maybe he can replace Bob Dole in the commercials and make a little money on the side. I'm surprised he can get to the doctor's office with his 'situation' but then again like that old song maybe "It Ain't No Big Thing Baby." Maybe some of those doctors need to give him a scrip for some 'happy' pills so he could appreciate and enjoy 'things' more.
