The republican budget plan

I finally found the plan that most regular line republicans favor...it is considered too liberal by the right wing and the libertarians but here it is:

1. Reduce social security payments to a level that will only spend what is paid into it.
2. Make Medicare a $5000 deductible health insurance with a maximum payout over five years to be $6000.
3. Void the Medicaid law in its entirety.
4. Eliminate corporate income tax.
5. No personal tax under $1000 earnings and above $125,000 earnings. Get it all between 1000 and 125,000. No deductions.
6. Establish a federal sales tax of 25% on everything that changes hands except on second, third, and fourth vehicles there will be no sales tax.
7. Tax all food at 25% except between $500 per week and up. (restaurants included.)
8. Deduct 20% of pay for a 401-k between $0 and 50,000 but not over 50,000. Can't ever be touched until 72.
9. Jail everyone who is too fat and also who won't work, even if there is no jobs.
10. Number 9 doesn't apply to the wealthy.
8.

Hey Tea Party folks:

Look at the first six years of the Bush White House. In reality the Republican budget plan was/is as doomed to failure as the Democratic plan. In a nutshell, lower taxes and spend, spend, spend...money we don't have. The Democrats, tax and spend, tax and spend.

How about a balanced-budget amendment for starters?

also needed is a "Fair/Flat tax option.. but won't happen.. Government will not take a loss of control no matter what.

I don't have too much doubt that it is coming for the simple reason that the "Fair Tax" would give government a TON of control as they could manipulate the tax/exemptions for doing what gov wants you to do and penalizing you for what govt doesn't want you to do just the same as it is done now. Any plan that starts off with the assumption that the government is going to SEND MOST PEOPLE A CHECK EVERY MONTH is ripe for governmental/political control and abuse. In fact, I'd say it is one of the stupidest ideas I have ever heard of in my life and yet it is coming from a lot of people who call themselves fiscal conservatives and limited govt advocates. It's insane. Put MORE people on the governmental payroll and that's a starting point? Gee, what could go wrong?

Flat tax? Now you're talking, but the chances of that ever happening are pretty much non-existent. That takes the government out of the equation, doesn't soak those damn rich people, doesn't care about what you are spending your money on or not, etc. Never happen.
