Pretty Bad When Home Depot Has Better Service Than Best Buys

Git Real's picture

I read an article a couple of months back that Best Buys was reducing the numbers of sales staff and would also be cutting the pay of their employees. The results have got to be hitting their bottom line. And I'm not so sure it is in a positive manner.

Went to BB yesterday off Mt Zion in Clayton County to look at a 50" plasma. For the life of me I couldn't find anyone to help me out. Sooooooo I contributed the poor service to the fact that I was in..... Clayton County.

So tonight I stop off at the Pavilion and went by HH Gregg. Had a gentleman spend about an hour with me answering questions to the best of his ability. He wasn't the most knowledgeable but was extremely helpful and we narrowed the selection down and my decision was made. Needed to do some measurements so I left with card.

Then I went to Best Buys in the Pavilion. I inspected, lingered, shopped, read, played with, big screens and speaker systems for 40 minutes. Nobody came over. Nobody asked if they could help me. Nobody was even around for me to ask for service. In all that time Nobody from Best Buys ever entered the TV area. Soooooooo.... I finally got the drift... did my comparisons and exited Best Buys thinking those guys really blew it. Saturday when Arthur is back to work I will be ordering a plasma, surround sound system, and a Blue Ray from my man at HH Gregg.

With piss poor customer service that I've been experiencing most everywhere I go I just have to wonder...... Does anybody really even give a rip if they have a job or not? I mean... Really!!!!!!

We went to the Best Buy in Peachtree City to look at TVs recently and ran into the same horrible customer service. There were guys there but the only one that actually came up to us answered one question with the wrong answer then walked away and never came back. We saw him later chatting with another employee and completely ignored us. The poor dumb soul that was standing by the door as we left who asked if everything went well looked at me like I was crazy when I told him that the customer service in the TV department was horrible. We won't be going back there!

chatting with other employees

Exactly.. they were all hanging around out back and behind the so-called service counter. So Peachtree City wasn't any better? Crap.... was going there Friday night in hopes....

Okay.... HH Gregg it is.

Knowing none of the circumstances involved with this probable purchase..... she once again spews her hatred of success and hardwork and exposes her jealousy of success wishing there was an affirmative action program requiring me to provide her one also. What a dufus. Especially when she could have applied for the same 'Energy Saving TV Replacement Grant' just like the rest of us did and received the $800 stimulus grant with little effort.

Purchased our plasmas four years ago. Enjoy! I'm surprised you took advantage of a 'stimulus' - that's wrecking our economy. Everyone will enjoy the games - I know they do at our house.

WAR DAMN EAGLE - I think? We Auburn fans aren't sure what to expect this year with Tubberville gone and the cubbard bare. I don't care about a winning season - I just don't want us to be too embarrassed. I'm going to keep the crying towel close by for the next several Saturdays. Smiling

All eyes are glued to the TV - if we're not actually at the game! The family is split half 'n half - and UCLA hasn't won in a long time. Still - it's always an exciting game. We always root for USC when they're up against a Big Ten team! Go Trojans! Go Bruins!
