A Clayton County man was arrested by Fayette County sheriff’s deputies Thursday for burglarizing a home on Graves Road July 17.

Darius Adams, 23, of Rex Road, was arrested at his home, sheriff’s officials said. Inside the home deputies recovered a 42 inch flat screen TV that was stolen during the burglary, officials said.

Also taken during the burglary were $1,000 in cash and several other electronic items, officials said.

Shocked, surprised and amazed.. Really a Clayton County man? No way..

There are no real consequences for their actions, a slap on the wrist most likely..

Just another loser who'll get 3 hots and cot at our expense....

He was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he gets 3 hots and a cot and TV. Good thing is he will stay there because he won't have the money for a bond and we have room at the inn. He will then get a court paid lawyer. On a sober day (or maybe not) lawyer will meet with the burglar. Arraignment hearing in October. Assume he has a record. Sometime next spring they will plea it out. He will get 10 years (assuming he has a couple similar priors). If he wants a trial he may then get 10-15, perhaps even 20 years. Off to the Big House. The state will hold him for about 18-24 months and back on the streets, here is your bus fare. He will back in Clayton County no later than Christmas 2011 right in time for the holidays !!!!

I would like to be able to say "you're wrong!" but I wouln't bet my money that what you're saying is not 100% correct. Part of the problem is that we have shown the criminal class that there are no real consequences for their actions. Introduce drugs into the equation and we find that the bad folks just don't care where "the county line is" anymore.

People have joked about building a fence around Fayette County. Maybe it's not such a bad idea.

True--- Fayette feared no more. When criminals will risk armed robbery at an ice cream parlor, they must think we are softies.
