Fayetteville police and sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed the Bank of America on Ga. Highway 314 and New Hope Road Saturday morning between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m. The robber showed no weapon, said Fayetteville Police Capt. Jeff Harris. Instead, the robber presented a note to a teller after which the robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, Harris said. A witness told police that the robber walked out of the bank down New Hope Road a short distance before disappearing into the woods, Harris said. K-9 units and the sheriff’s department’s helicopter were deployed in the search of nearby neighborhoods immediately after the incident. The robber was described as a black male approximately six feet tall, clean shaven, wearing a white dress shirt and black pants. He is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old. login to post comments |
