US Flag flown at half-staff to honor Michael Jackson

Can someone explain this to me? Of course, when I was in San Franisco I seen that they fly the ChiCom flag on several houses with pictures of Chairman Mao. (eyes rolling)

I have a cousin who lives on Bainbridge Island and he says the heat wave has been bad. Of course he blames it on G. Bush!
