It's a Yield not a Stop

To all the drivers coming up North on Peachtree Pkwy and merging onto Hwy 74.

DON'T STOP....IT'S A YIELD SIGN.

Why do people STOP at this yield.

WE were taught to merge on a yield. Furthermore there is at least 100 yds or more of acceleration lane.

And one more thing. You are probably the same people who hang out on the left lane on Hwy 74. I don't care how slow you want to drive just do it in the right lane.

100% Agree on yields vs stops

And people do it on Tyrone Rd/Dogwood Trail when turning onto 74 southbound as well.

The one problem, however, with your comments is that there is no "slower traffic stay right" law on an open access highway. With median cuts and left turns allowed, the "left = fast lane" rule doesn't apply.

Other than that, you're right.

are also the ones who stay in the left lane on 74 all the way to I85 and then suddenly realize they need to get into the right lane to enter I85.
