Six Million JobsWe have about 6 million new people looking for jobs right now. (this is above the normal 5-6% we always have, for a total of 14 million.) It may get significantly higher over the next year or so, can't know yet. If such unemployment numbers stretch out Now $400 or so dollars per week doesn't sound like much for most workers but believe me if it disappears there will be sudden chaos! For those optimists among us I would point out that there simply isn't many jobs on the horizon that even pay as much as unemployment pays! Most of the jobs have been lost in the construction business. There is such a back-log of already built homes that it certainly isn't promising for that to be of help anyways soon. Same with commercial building. Wall Street and Auto Companies also have lost a lot of jobs. I see that losing even more. We will rebuild our economy eventually with sales of IT and defense products and maybe food, but it will not happen in less than a few years at best. Also, if oil prices again get to $100 a barrell, we are even further destroyed. We can't even find the money now to put people to work building our infrastructure: power, bridges, roads, dams, and transportation. We have already borrowed it for banks, insurance, industry, and stimulus locally (jobs). I get the idea that the plan might be for the world countries to mingle what finances they have together and dole them out to prevent riots! China won't participate. It is the only plan in existence it seems! Bush depended upon credit to survive; Obama is depending upon the banks. They aren't loaning---don't know how correctly.
