If there are actual police reports with the suspicious persons description listed above, then it is irresponsible not to report it. We have lots of young teenagers on golfcarts on these paths. They should be told what to watch for. It is common sense. Where did I say that suspicious activity should not be listed, or that defining characteristics should not be named? My point is, given the near total lack of details, the brush used to paint this is too broad and the paint is too thin to yield a usable picture. Me, "kow towing" to the PTC elite? Hardly sir. I am just looking for something in the story to give me reason to believe it. In its present form, it sounds made up.

With the recent article reporting that the kids made a false report, I assume John Munford will see the error he made in bringing race into this so quicky. (Not to mention the fact that it should be a possessive "suspect's race" instead of "suspects race."

The lastest news didn't mention the race of the kids involved. I'm certain that the reason Cal will cite is the fact that they are juveniles, but I am sure that their race would not give their identities away.

I guess the question really stems upon actual police reports, which admittedly I do not know if they are filed or if the information is coming from police records. However, if the description was two white teenagers, one very tall and skinny and the other a bit dumpy and fat, then it would give nobody pause.

You are correct. As evidenced by the Gates case. The caller is being called a racist because some people thought she identified the men that were suspected as breaking into the house as black. They were black. Even though they were not breaking into the house. But how was she to know? Seems the safe thing to do now days is to turn your head and report nothing. That is why I do have a permit.

I don't think they should say a person has grey hair, is short or fat, ugly, has stretch marks or talks with a lisp. All would be profiling and I don't want to be stopped every time a short, fat, ugly,grey haired person with a lisp commits a crime. Let's hope they don't notice the stretch marks.

Facts are Facts....The reports are not yet released to report on. Yes there where 3 boys that were jumped. 2 got caught (one with severe facial injury), one was lucky enough to escape. Some Thugs looking for easy money praying on easy, smaller and younger kids. Maybe just maybe it was the same guys that where throwing bricks at carts at the same tunnel a week before. Long story short the paper did a great job of getting information out so people are aware and look around the tunnels before they enter. As far as being black, white, yellow or purple it is not an argument of race only stating that they where black with dreadlocks in the discription.

Seems the cops are now saying that it didn't happen!
