PTC police report suspicious duo at Kedron tunnelsWed, 07/29/2009 - 9:59am

Residents asked to report suspicious cart path activity to 770-461-4357 Peachtree City police are asking residents in Kedron Village to be on the lookout for suspicious persons on the cart paths who have been “approaching golf carts and blocking the tunnels.” The incidents have been reported over the past several days in tunnels located at Georgian Park, Kedron Village and Ardenlee Parkway, police said. Rumors around town have circulated claiming that a teenager was assaulted on the path system in a similar situation, but no such incidents have been reported to the police department, officials said. The subjects, described as two black males, are estimated to be in their late teens although age estimations have varied, police said. One of the subjects has dreadlocks, police added. Police encourage residents to report any suspicious behavior on the cart path system and to particularly: Suspicious person reports should be called in to 770-461-4357, which is the Fayette County Communications Center. The suspects should not be approached, police said. Police also are reminding citizens to be aware of their surroundings on the cart path system, particularly your location and the people around you.
