PTC #8 among U.S. 'small towns'Mon, 07/13/2009 - 1:15pm
By: John Munford
Peachtree City has once again won national recognition for being one of America’s best “small towns” as ranked by Money Magazine. The city was ranked eighth in the nation among the more than 1,800 U.S. cities with populations between 8,500 and 50,000 people. The criteria included “satisfactory education and crime scores” along with an income below 200 percent of the state median. In its spotlight on Peachtree City, the magazine of course refers to the town’s extensive golf cart path system as well as its two lakes and three golf courses. The magazine also highlights two opportunities for new jobs created by the expansion of NCR and the location of heavy equipment company Sany America. login to post comments |
