There are debatable issues here - our nations financial situation. However, this constant 'poor me/good American male who has done everything right - and is suffering, is wearing a little thin. Why didn't we spend the stimulus money on tangible assets that would benefit this country for years to come and put people to work from the bottom up?

Good question. Lets follow the dollar in the states that have accepted the stimulus money. Why are they holding on to it? It appears that they are spending it on keeping the jobs and services that are being lost because of the poor budgeting for the past YEARS not 200 days. By the way - GM has gotten out of bankruptcy - let's hope that the plans of their leadership are solid and they are able to come back as a global winner!

Gotten out of bankruptcy???? Are you freaking kidding???? How many taxpayer dollars were spent in bailing this failed business out of it's unrealistic business model??? After wasting multiple billions of dollars this sham business was forced into bankruptcy and taken over by the government bilking many, many preferred stock holders of their life savings. Do you realize how many people were bilked out their retirement savings with the gumament stealing billions of bond monies that were supposed to have had preferential guarantees for the risks they took? Out of bankruptcy? You're nuts if you think that problem was solved. But as a Woman and Minority it is understandable that you fail to grasp the reality of the situation since you don't produce and you merely survive off of other people's money and prior successes. My suffering wearing a little thin eh? Let's see... TODAY I wrote off $15,500 worth of bad debts that the government is NOT going to help me with at all. Last Saturday evening (July 4th) some of YOUR race busted out the front door of my business stealing over $5000 worth of merchandise that I will not be compensated for at all. Not to mention the fact that the Clayton County Police won't do squat to pursue the bad guys. And today I helped my dad drag off 7 yearling calves that were killed by lightening two days ago. No one is going to bail him out as he lost 15% of his annual calf crop. You know what DM? Some of us work our a$$e$ off, take much risk while applying ourselves at being productive while others of YOU ridicule the producers and feel sorry for yourselves because you won't get off your fat lazy butts to actually PRODUCE something in this country. Instead you whine about what EVERYONE else doesn't do for you or the entitlement minded majority that sits around expecting the government to solve all your problems and provide your means of subsistence. Oh - it would be too much for you to become aware of what I have created in my more than 38 years of work and contributions to this country. Yes - I created much of the funding that I administered. I did not only work for a government agency - but also for a still thriving family enterprise. I by no means want to diminish your contribution - but I resent your effort/assumption that a minority woman cannot be just as productive. For your information, a black woman has just been appointed CEO of Xerox - and affirmative action had nothing to do with her appointment - SHE EARNED IT - and is well qualified!
