Say man, how much did you say you get for a quart of that firewater?

A real winner here. BTW, expect more posts like this.

You still in the land of sand? Many yrs ago, spent numerous vacations in Jetty East. Then when daughter enrolled in Flagler College in St Augustine, started vacationing there and haven't stopped. Have a great friend there who is a native, local fishing guide and retired firefighter and EMT. For an old dude who has had one stroke, it's kinda nice fishing with both a friend and medical expert. Redfish, trout, flounder. May of last yr, in 2 days we caught 34 flounder. Still eating those filets.

Oh, in March this yr, found some Black Drum, all about 16 inches--caught our limits in about 40 minutes. Damn, those are good. Took 3 filets to a local restaurant that night and they did some magic with them. Mrs. Gym swears that's some of the best fish she's ever had (big admission for a former Brit!)

Well all good things must come to an end. Our 3 weeks at the beach ends tomorrow. So at 0400 we start the drive back home.

Anyways, as things would have it, I hooked into some nice Spanish Macs and Bluefish this morning. I had to use my 10' surf rod with my tried and tested 1 ounce "Krocodile" spoon to reach out and touch them - about 100 yards into blue water. Did catch a lot of ladyfish and small jacks on this trip - all on 6 lb test. At times almost every cast produced something. It was a hoot. Now it's back to the grind soon.
