The Fayetteville Police Department would like to remind motorists that the ‘work zone’ speed limit of 35 mph remains in effect during the duration of construction on Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard. Scheduled completion date is September 2009.

The roadway has been widened and re-paved recently, and this may create a tendency for drivers to increase their speeds. Officers will actively enforce the speed limit in this area to ensure the safety of construction workers and all motorists. Stay alert and arrive safely at your destination.
