David Norman got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh and Kevin Koziol drove in two more with a single, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Vikings.

Northgate got a run off an error in the bottom of the fifth, but Starr's Mill added two more in the top of the sixth with an RBI double from Kevin Koziol and an RBI single from Paul Patterson.

The score in the bottom of the sixth is 12-5 Northgate.

2:22
Marvin drove in another run for Northgate in the bottom of the fourth, but Starr's Mill refused to go quietly. The Panthers got a two-run home run from David Norman in the fifth and Miles Jaye added an RBI to cut the lead to 11-3.

1:52
In the bottom of the third inning, Kyle Lachance drove in a run with a sacrifice bunt and Derek Hooper hit his second home run of the series to give Northgate a 10-0 lead.

Starr's Mill was held scoreless in the top of the fourth.

1:35
Both teams were held scoreless in the second inning. In the top of the third, Kevin Koziol singled and reached third, but couldn't score.

Uh-Oh.

After the first three Starr's Mill batters were retired in order, Northgate exploded for eight runs on eight hits in the bottom of the first. Drew Tolbert and Kyle Lachance both drove in two runs for Northgate, while Tyler Marvin, Catlan Kendrick, Derek Hooper and Chris Brewer all drove in one.

Starr's Mill starter Danny Beadling was replaced after two-thirds of an inning by Ken Jackson.

More to come.

This is one of the better photos I've ever seen in the Citizen. You must've had a very fast shutter speed to snap this pic, one fraction of a second before the kid hit the dirt!

Really enjoyed following your coverage. Have a nephew who plays on Starr's Mill. You go Jesse....great season and great career.
Hope your cousin can someday keep the family tradition going...
