A Peachtree City woman crashed a minivan through the front door of a local bank early Saturday afternoon, police said.

The 2002 Toyota Sienna jumped a curb and went through two sets of front doors before striking a wall and coming to a stop inside the Bank of North Georgia on Ga. Highway 54 and Westpark Walk, police said. The crash occurred just after the bank had closed for the day.

The driver was identified as Virginia Landrum, 75. The police report indicates that the accelerator somehow became stuck during the incident.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash.

But that doesn't explain why the driver had the transmission in "drive" rather than "reverse". This is sounds like a case of driver error.

Hey, hey, hey, I've got an accelerator that sticks, like every morning and afternoon on my way to and from!

Three week fishing camp, some folks got it like that!

Are you saying that old jalopy of yours has cruise control? I'm shocked!

Well, someone has to play with those darn fish. Smiling
