Enough of cartoons bashing ObamaTue, 05/26/2009 - 3:44pm
By: Letters to the ...
I am a homeowner here in Fayetteville and have lived here for many years. I am aware of this county being very Republican, but not everyone votes the way of the Grand Old Party of rich white men. I am a white female in my 60s that voted for Barack Obama and I think his leadership is outstanding. It is time for change and a new generation to heal this nation from old ways that we have seen for the last eight years under Republican rule. President Obama may not have all the answers but he has vision and strength necessary to make changes for our children and grandchildren to have the life that we once had. I pray for him every night and I know he is the chosen one to make this country strong and a country for other nations to follow. I am writing this because I am insulted and dismayed at the negative ugly cartoons that are printed in The Citizen with every copy. Not all Fayette County residents think this is humorous. it shows one-sidedness and ugly bigotry. Please pass this on to the person responsible for the nastiness of their humor and let them know not all who receive this paper find it worthy of reading.
