Free food available at New Beginnings food pantry

Those who need emergency food packages may call the Good Shepherd Food Pantry at New Beginnings Praise and Worship Center, 404-405-8802.

The ministry strives to help the needy to receive food for their families in their time of need.

The center also accepts donations of non perishable items to the food pantry.

New Beginnings is at 1091 South Jeff Davis Dr., Fayetteville.

New Beginnings Praise and Worship Center, continues to serve the needy in Fayette,Henry,Clayton,Coweta and Spalding counties.

If you or a family you know of are in need of emergency food assistance, we provide non perishable food items on Wednesdays and Sunday afternoons by appointment only.

Please call to make your appointment at 404-405-8802 to receive a return call.
You will be asked to provide a brief needs assessment, family size and contact information.

Beg for food!

I hate these things. Only those with no pride or those who want everything free go to them!

It is like the "Church Lady" of SNL staring at you as you enter and rubbing her two index fingers together at you as you enter and leave!

The County should have an office for this kind of thing where one in real need can go and obtain ration stamps for food and clothing that would only be good at one or two participating stores where you are welcome. If one has those stamps at Kroger--some one is sure to say look at those expensive ear rings---drawing food stamps!

The people using this should be registered on computer and be given help with jobs and health care.

Don't tell me we already have that! Those old food stamps are just as bad and are given to those who ask whether they need them or not.
