Obama’s ‘Public’ Health Plan Will Bankrupt the Nation

Obama’s ‘Public’ Health Plan Will Bankrupt the Nation
Larry Kudlow

So let’s be serious when evaluating President Obama’s goal of universal health care, and the idea that it’s a cost-cutter. Can’t happen. Won’t happen. Costs are going to explode.

Think of it: Can anyone name a federal program that ever cut costs for anything? Let’s not forget that the existing Medicare system is roughly $80 trillion in the hole.

Eat there every time I travel back to the old family farm in Northampton county. Wish I could get back more often, even if just for the Barbeque!

Ya'know most of those places will ship BBQ to you---no, not cheap, but just depends how bad you want it. I've had Gardner's in Rocky Mount ship some to me a couple of times. Be glad to give you a tel nr and name if you want.

Why not spend time explaining why you democrats are so excited about Obama closing 3000 local car dealerships for GM and Chrysler for us instead?

Or why not tell us why Joe Biden is such a great VP selection?

Or tell us, is there any part of your life or our country that you do NOT want Obama to control?

What about his flip-flop on military tribunals and releasing pictures of the waterboarding of the terrorists?

Did you like his position before he was against it or after?

Why is the economy and employment going south after all the trillions (with a 'T') that Obama has spent on the 'stimulus'?

Why is Obama considering importing cars for China under the GM banner?

Are you comfortable with 50cents of every dollar in your child's future tax bill going to China?

How about those gas prices easing back up ... and Nancy Pelosi's briefings? Where has Chris Dodd and Barney Frank been? How about those detainees in Guantanamo Bay - what say we put them in Jack Murtha's district jails?

So, do you have something other than personal insults that you can contribute to some of these current political topics concerning the democratically controlled house, senate, or white house?

Submitted by AirForceDude on Fri, 05/15/2009 - 4:11pm.

JM, you are really confused if you believe President Obama closed all those auto dealerships. Don't forget, Bush plundered the surplus we enjoyed during Clinton's years and put us in the deficit we now have. You Republicans can't do anything constructive so you blame all the unmitigated failure of the Bush admisinstration on President Obama. All the problems we have now result from the misguided efforts of Bush and Cheney. It didn't happen overnight and it won't be cured overnight. Once the problem is recognized, action can be taken to fix it. Face up to it, Presideent Obama is trying to fix it.

Submitted by MacTheKnife on Fri, 05/15/2009 - 6:44pm.

Bush derangement syndrome is alive and well.

okay 'dude', when do you begin to assign responsibility to the current president?

After all he has already spent a trillion dollars and fired the head of GM, put Chrysler in BK, has GM going to BK, has increased unemployment, interest rates, and gas prices and has doubled the size of government. If his record breaking 4 trillion dollar budget goes through he will have also quadrupled the national debt.He also compromised the safety of CIA a gents around the world, said he was going to close Gitmo but hasn't, has flip-flopped on tribunals for the detainees and and has flip-flopped on releasing pictures of the water-boarding.

Is this the change you wanted?

You people are hilarious ... yes we can, yes we can, yes we can, oh bah ma oh bah ma oh bah ma....lol

Only Republicans are losing jobs? Please!

Or why not tell us why Joe Biden is such a great VP selection?
A wee bit more global respect and experience than Palin.

What about his flip-flop on military tribunals and releasing pictures of the waterboarding of the terrorists?
Looks like he's listening to his generals for their opinion on the effect that the pictures will have on the civilian population where are soldiers are stationed.

Why is the economy and employment going south after all the trillions (with a 'T') that Obama has spent on the 'stimulus'?
Have you followed the Dow lately? Come on. After 8 years of going down the tubes, do you really expect it to turn around in 100 days?

How about those gas prices easing back up
Obama's daddy’s people won't make a dime from the sale of oil.

Sorry Diva - these questions were for you.

Submitted by MacTheKnife on Fri, 05/15/2009 - 6:35pm.

You are surely smarter than this aren't you?

No one said only republicans were losing jobs. EVERYONE is getting slammed by the fiscal irresponsibility and non-stimulating 'Obama Stimulus'.

Palin has nothing to do with the fact that Joe Biden was Hussein's choice. Is that the "well, your momma wears army boots" answer? The Governor has also not revealed the "secret bunker" for the Vice President of the United States which Joey has managed to already do in his first 100 days.

So when Obama was campaigning he was wrong and didn't know what he was talking about?? Or is he wrong now?

Since he didn't listen to his "generals" and went against their advice when he released the confidential cia reports was he right then or is he right now because he IS listening?

Yes, I am a market player. Have been since you last voted for a Republican. I doubt however that the 560,000 that lost jobs just last month really care about that.

Bush's daddy got the oil money before? Then who will get the oil money now mommy? Bush? Or maybe the Arab sheiks that paid Obama's way through law school or the African daddy that abandoned Obama and his momma?

By the way, you missed a few questions.

Not that you would have made a serious attempt at answering them... after all, the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was a bad pick in your opinion and Bush's daddy has oil money ...

Would I take up the tired old conservative arguments if tired old conservatives? That's your job. Mine is to enjoy the day and be glad my political side's ideas have an opportunity.

For someone who call "209" a "personal insult," don't you feel it odd to call me a "whiner?" I'm just sayin.

Heck, you weren't even person enough to admit you were duped by Mr. "fred's my real name." Laughing out loud

"Mine is to enjoy the day and be glad my political side's ideas have an opportunity."

Then why don't you do that? You guys won. Enjoy the day. It won't last forever in spite of your hoping it will.

Why are you having a stroke on here every time someone calls your precious Barry a name? Your side called Bush and Cheney every name in the book and wished nothing but the worst upon them. And as Hutch has been trying to drive into your head, that didn't bother you one bit. Why now? That's the hypocrisy. That's your hypocrisy. Barry, Pelosi, Reid, et al are fair game for us just like Bush and Cheney were to your side.

Why are you taking jokes and comments so personal now? You guys sure seemed to enjoy all the nasty jokes before. Now someone makes a joke about Pelosi and Reid and your thong is in more knots than a boy scout jamboree. It's ok for Wanda to make her joke because she is a comedian and that's her job? That's what you said. Somehow because David Feherty is a golf analyst and not a comedian, that's not allowed??? Interesting. And then you want to teach him a lesson because he is not former military? Ever hear of freedom of speech? If Wanda can say her crap at a roast, well guess what? Feherty can say what he wants in a magazine article. That's how it works around here. Even though diva says it don't work that way, it does.

One more thing. Feherty never once claimed to speak for the military. He has been around the troops numerous times. He has a foundation helping wounded soldiers, so I'm sure he has had the chance to talk to a ton of them. He said "From my own experience visiting the troops.....". Sounds like relaying his impressions of what he heard to me. That's one hell of a stretch to "speaking for the military". You know it too.

On a Saturday afternoon in Washington, D. C., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s aide visited the Cardinal of the Catholic cathedral.

He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi would be attending the next day’s sermon, and he asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Pelosi to the congregation and say a few words that would include calling Pelosi a saint.

The Cardinal replied, “No. I don’t really like the woman, and there
are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over certain of Pelosi’s views.”

Pelosi’s aide then said, “Look. I’ll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to your church if you’ll just tell the congregation you see Pelosi as a saint.”

The Cardinal thought about it and said, “Well, the church can use the money, so I’ll work your request into tomorrow’s sermon.” As Pelosi’s aide promised, House Speaker Pelosi appeared for the Sunday sermon and seated herself prominently at the edge of the main aisle. And, during the sermon, as promised, the Cardinal pointed out that House Speaker Pelosi was present.

Then the Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation — “While Speaker Pelosi’s presence is probably an honor to some, she is not my favorite person. Some of her views are contrary to those of the church, and she tends to flip-flop on many other views. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, a thumb sucker, and a nit-wit. Nancy Pelosi is also a serial liar, a cheat, and a thief.

Nancy Pelosi is the worst example of a Catholic I have ever personally
witnessed. She married for money and is using it to lie to the American people. She also has a reputation for shirking her Representative obligations both in Washington and in California . She simply is not to be trusted.”

The Cardinal completed his view of Pelosi with, “But, when compared to
Senators Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, and John Kerry, House Speaker Pelosi is a saint.”

A priest was dying in the hospital. He motioned for his nurse.

“Yes, Father?” said the nurse.

“I would really like to see Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi before I die,” whispered the priest.

“I’ll see what I can do, Father,” replied the nurse.

The word arrived. Harry and Nancy would be delighted to visit the priest. As they went to the hospital, Harry commented to Nancy “I don’t know why the old priest wants to see us, but it will certainly help our images.”

When they arrived at the priest’s room, the priest took Nancy¹s hand in his right hand and Harry¹s hand in his left.

Finally Nancy spoke. “Father, of all the people you could have chosen, why did you choose us to be with you as you near the end?”

The old priest replied, “I have always tried to pattern my life after Jesus. He died between two lying thieves and I would like to do the same.”

"In retrospect, it was inappropriate and unacceptable, and has clearly insulted Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Reid, and for that, I apologize."

That would be David Feherty. What do I win?

Spin it how you choose. I guess possibly he decided what he said was a little over the top.

Apparently, that crass, classless, washed up old dyke didn't think what she said was. Or, she is too arrogant or ignorant to know the difference. Probably like I said before.....to her, that ain't misbehavin'.

By the way, is she still a spokesperson for Snap-on Tools????

Not even close! Unlike Barry, David spends time building up our troops morale.

CBS golf reporter David Feherty, an Irishman, last week returned from a USO tour of "forward operating bases" in Iraq feeling "I'd be so proud to be an American, if I was one."

Trying to hear "more than the official line," he was "stunned by the competence and intelligence of every single soldier we met. The smartest people America has are in Iraq."

And in a contingent including Tom Watson and Tom Lehman, the troops recognized Feherty — or at least his voice — because he does voiceovers on EA Sports' Tiger Woods video game.

"I was surprised by the attitude of the troopers. I would have thought they'd just want to get out of there. But the opposite is true. They all said they had a job to do. This war isn't the disaster I was under the impression it was. … I would hate to be at war with America."

I thought you were a better man than that. This is your man here, don't you want to help us all understand what all of this is about so we can be as excited about Pelosi, Reed, Frank, Obama, et.al. as you are?

Those were some good honest current questions diva ... jump on them!

Stop whining and obsessing on Fred and explain why all of these brilliant political moves are what we have needed in America for so long! Tell us about the change ese!

Guys. Bottom line. Your team lost....badly....for a reason.... no, for REASONS. Many of those reasons are people who think like you guys. Most Americans don't. You aren't dealing well. You tell me to go out and play and not take things seriously (Play I did and seriously hurting from losing elections I'm not) and I come back to see you like lonely Labrador retrievers; nudging a ball towards someone and wondering why it isn't being kicked back to you. This is comedy Laughing out loud

Retreaded questions which we non-tunnel visioned republicans have addressed time and time again. Oh, except Mr. golf announcer dude.

MOC, if he wasn't wrong, Whaa Whaaa WHHHyyyyy is he apologizing now? Do republicans have no spines?

"From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this though," Feherty wrote toward the end of his column. "Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and Bin Laden would be strangled to death."
