Car crashes into PTC Starbucks

Starbucks_Avenue_car crash

No one was injured when this car crashed into the Starbucks restaurant at The Avenue in Peachtree City this morning, fire officials said.

The incident occurred at 9:20 a.m. when the vehicle jumped the curb and crashed into the storefront of the Starbucks, officials said.

Peachtree City medic units responded to the scene but no injuries were reported, officials said.

The photo of the crash scene was submitted by Kim Davis.

I am sure this happens many times a day around the world. This type of parking, facing the business should not be allowed unless there is a strong barrier between the curb and the business. Try not to sit in a window seat when visiting establishments where this could happen. It just may save your life.

A short circuit occurs in the brain and driver puts it in "drive" rather than "reverse" and then MASHES the accelerator rather abruptly.
