Obama's Newest Tax Proposal is a Declaration of War on U.S. Competitiveness - By Grover Norquist

By seeking to take away these double-tax band-aids without lowering the corporate rate substantially or fixing the global taxation scheme, Obama’s proposal will shove jobs and capital out of America and into foreign countries.

Do you really think that 'liberals' don't read these sites? What is your opinion?

I think that the Presidents policies will stifle economic growth in America while at the same time create out of control inflation, while leaving an extremely burdensome tax bill on our children and grandchildren. I think that he is wrong to consider people guilty until proven innocent, as he has done in the case of people who may or may not be keeping money in offshore accounts.

I never said that liberals don't read sites like the ones I posted, and I resent your implication.

It's nice to read your opinion. Don't you think some liberals resent the implication that we don't read these sites - and it is necessary for you to continually post them with no comment? I think you can share your opinion without the constant degradation of our president and vice president. We get it. You feel that the majority of Americans are dumb and dumber. We've had out of control inflation under other leadership - let's hope that we have learned about this phenomenon and will take the steps to avoid it this time around. The president does not convict. If you have funds in offshore accounts, the courts and the law will decide your guilt or innocence. I remember when tax burdens were not as difficult as they are today. This 'tax- burden' did not happen within the last 100 days. I'm among those individuals who are getting a tax break. As a retired person - I earn less than $250,000 a year. The 'break' is small - but a relief never the less. It is my responsibility to check my budget; separate my 'wants' from my 'needs' and live responsibly during this crisis. If we all do this, many of us see the light at the end of the tunnel. Looking at the latest economic reports, it is possible that half of our debt/deficit will be paid off in two years..if everyone cooperates. . and use the stimulus/recovery funds responsibly. IMO.

Just saw barry on the tele trying to make a joke about Cheney at the White House correspondent's dinner.

Obama is an immature, no-class jackass. He just can't leave it alone.

I repeat, I never stated or implied that liberals do not read these sites, and I resent the implication that I ever stated.

It is my prerogative to post links to articles without comment. If you don't like what I have to post, then you don't have to read it.

Now, you asked me for my opinion and I gave it to you. However I don't ever recall asking for your opinion. Frankly, I really don't care what you have to say.

"If you don't like what I have to post, then you don't have to read it."

That's like saying you don't have to get your hands wet when retrieving a ring dropped in the toilet (original thoughts on the blogs being the rings and your 200+ blogs being the dirty toilet water in said analogy).

When Main said basically the same thing, you had nothing to say about the statement, so I gather it's only wrong when someone other then a Dem says it?

As you can see, you are missed. Now, to the point:

You said: "When Main said basically the same thing, you had nothing to say about the statement."

Hutch, if you gave me a reference or link I would at least know what you are talking about. But, did you ever stop and think that I may have said nothing to main because I didn't read it? Hmmm? And, unless I missed something, main doesn't provide a trash heap you have to sort through to see what's new here, does she?

Hutch, when Mainstream floods this site with over 200 personal blogs, let alone the individual postings, then you will have a point. Even if you tried to avoid the lying cowardly "my name is fred" character, you can't. You can't click a blog without it being a cut and paste of his.

If you take my/hack's blogs, main's, Jeff C's, Sniffles, and Davidsmom's, they won't come anywhere close to the number a single poster here generates in the same time period. You don't even have to count 'em. I've cataloged 'em for you.

"fred" can flood Cal's website as he cries to Cal about being treated unfairly all he wants, but don't think we can't point his blog grid-lock out.

I'm glad he has you to protect him, because he certainly can't stand on his own.

First things first, I ain't protecting Fred, I'm pointing out once again the double standard as I see it. I guess I missed the place where the number of blogs is limited, you want to point that out to me. Main said the same thing as Fred when she tore the lady up who wanted an article of clothing for her kids pageant, it was Main's response to the criticism of her response( as in tearing the lady a new one for letting her kid be in a pageant). In truth though I hate to say it, even if you had read it, the result would have been the same. If Lindsey was definitely wrong but Sniff was only maybe or probably wrong for the same thing, maybe you can see where I'm coming from, hey but maybe not. I don't really care anymore.

Here you go Diva, you'll have to pardon the cut and paste, or not, again I don't care...MYT - don't read my posts if they bother you...

I obviously DID touch a nerve with you and others here when I slammed pageants, and a parent, for promoting this crap in public schools. It's the culture down here, especially in the rural south, to have these kind of pageants in public schools, but no one wants to admit it - why is that? If you, and the other thin-skinned bloggers on this thread don't like my posts, then don't read them. And if I read something else that ever rubs me the wrong way, especially in regards to exploiting children and hosting demeaning beauty pageants in our schools, then I'll be posting again.

for me to defend someone here.. I feel if you can't defend your arguments without resorting to "name calling" or "itimidation" or bring "family" into this then well you choose the wrong forum..
HOWEVER..that being said .. I have to ASK why are you counting post??? What is your point??? What is next.. counting responses??? Doing this seems to me another form of intimidation.. much like you calling "Fred" a coward.. Now this is just me.. and YOU know I actually like our "rants/Discussions" and yes I got POed w/Sniff a time or two, but calling out another poster for saying an alias is real or not to me seems irrelevant.. Now counting their post just adds to this..
This is a free forum.. We can post just about anything we want.. You can say "Bush Lied and people died" and I can say "Obama sucks" (granted the bush thing was catchie)but here in this forum it is ok.. It is just opinions.. We are all subject to having our views challenged.. not that we are changing each others opinions.. I mean we are sort of pi$$ing in the wind.. if you get my drift..
Just my OPINION...

People like "diva" are just following the Obama playbook of intimidation. diva is not a man, he's a little immature boy in a mans body who feels a compulsion to attempt to intimidate the messenger for spreading the message.

Just like the dems did to Joe the plumber, they tried to intimidate him through bogus investigations into his past. They hated the fact that Joe was able to get barry to admit that he was a socialist, so they attacked him.

When the lose the argument, they then resort to calling you a racist and claim victory.

It's the liberal/obama modus operandi - attack the messenger.

You should know I'm a man. After all, you told me we've met. But, then again, you also told me you have the courage to blog with your real name, but it's important to remain anonymous. Real manly, "fred." See you at coffee.

Hope you're cooking for the significant other today.... or at least letting a restaurant do it for you.

Short and sweet. If I decide to one day copy and paste an encyclopedia a day here on the blogs to the point that other blogs are pushed to the recesses of the web site, I hope someone says something. At some point, someone should start counting our drinks for us when they feel we are drinking too many too often.

If you're happy with this website becoming one person's personal whine cellar, that's fine. But I'm counting drinks.

This may come as a surprise to your arrogant sensitivity - but no one needs your permission to participate in this discussion. I will give my opinion regarding your ignorance whenever and wherever I choose. The editor of this newspaper can edit if he so desires; persons can choose not to read my opinion - but I do have the right to give it WITHOUT your permission. By the way - President Reagan has so many meaningful quotes to his credit - won't you share some others? Ronald Reagan was a respected leader of our government.

I have great respect for the guidelines that Cal has given the participants in these discussions. I've tried hard to 'tow the line'. . and sometimes I've come awful close to crossing the line. However - I'm through with this kid. I think all see him/her for who he/she really is. It is entertaining sometimes - downright sad most of the time.

I never stated that you do not have the right to express your opinion.
I merely stated that I did not request your opinion, and that I don't give a rip as to what you have to say. You have a strange knack of trying to put words in my mouth - must be a liberal thang.

I post this quote of Reagan because I think it is the one that directly applies to the current administrations tax and spend policies that are destroying children's economic future.
