Two men were arrested this morning after an alert resident called 911 to report a burglary in progress in the Northridge subdivision in north Fayette County, officials said. Upon the deputies' arrival at 115 Benson Circle shortly after 10 a.m., the suspects fled on foot; one was apprehended quickly while the other fled into the woods, officials said. Minutes later the second suspect was arrested, officials said. Arrested were Tai-ri Darnell Crocker, 24, of Atlanta and Lamar Antonio Robinson, 22, of College Park. Both are charged with burglary while other charges are pending, sheriff's officials said. The Northridge subdivision is located in north Fayette County just off Ga. Highway 279 in between Ga. highways 314 and 138. Fayette County Sheriff Wayne Hannah applauded the alert citizen who noticed suspicious activity in the neighborhood and dialed 911 to report it. He urges all residents to call 911 when they see suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. The sheriff's office wants to partner with residents in the community to combat crime and has a Community Watch program available to encourage residents to get involved.
