The end of 8 years of Republican neglect

President Obama is doing the job he was sent to Washington DC to do: spend money on Education, Energy and Health Care and try and ameliorate the effects of 8 solid years of Republican neglect.

America agrees with our President, too. The highest number of citizens in over 6 years...fifty percent... now believe the country is heading in the right direction. That's nothing short of amazing, considering a paltry 19% thought we were going in the right direction as recently as 2009.

Thankfully, the Republican Death Spiral™ continues as well...only 21% of America still identifies themselves with the party of faith-based hatred and unregulated capitalism, largely dyspeptic over-50 white males, an increasingly shrinking demographic.

So how long will it be before we see anything tangible from the President regarding his transportation plan?

Obama will build upon his efforts in the Senate to ensure
that more Metropolitan Planning Organizations create policies to incentivize greater bicycle and pedestrian
usage of roads and sidewalks.

Or was just an example of the hype that was used to get elected?
