Fayette County will get nearly 15 miles of road upgrades in the coming fiscal year, Gov. Sonny Perdue announced Wednesday. Statewide, local communities will get $60 million for such projects, part of what Perdue is pitching as his “Paving the Way Home” initiative. The funds will come from the Local Assistance Road Program (LARP), which depends on prioritized lists of road needs from local governments. Included on Peachtree City’s list is repair to TDK Boulevard, which is often used by truck traffic to and from the city’s industrial park, and several streets in the Wynnmeade subdivision including Wynnmeade Parkway, Kings Court, Kings Ridge Drive and Fortress Drive. Other road improvement projects for Fayette County and its cities are as follows: • Peachtree City — Commerce Drive, Kelly Drive, Marks Style, Paschall Road. • Fayetteville — Belle Drive, Chase Court, Commerce Drive, Creekside Trail, Lakemont Drive, Yorktown Drive. • Tyrone — Castle Hill, Rollingbrook Trail, Whisperwood Trail. • Brooks — Carrington Lane. • Unincorporated Fayette — Acton Drive, Angling Court, Antioch Road, Autumn Moon Trail, Bascom Court, Beacon Drive, Blackberry Run, Brockton Court, Burch Lake Road, Fairfax Court, Flagstop Run, Grandchester Way, Jericho Lane, Kayla Drive, Lucky Leaf Place, Morning Mist Way, Nandover Way, Pond Trace, Ridgemont Drive, Ryan Court, Selena Court, Trolling Way, Watertown Way, Wendolyn Trail. login to post comments |
