I hope the parents in this community have the brains to know they aren't immune from this issue and show up for this forum!!!

A meeting doesn't fix anything. Hundreds of meetings won't fix anything. Just make you feel better. It takes a lifetime of really guiding and knowing and then it doesn't always work. Quick fix generation not long for this world.

Wow, Brenda - you nailed it. Meetings are for passive people. Leaders actually lead by example. The Quick Fix generation is actually two generations old, but they will fade soon.

Luv ya girl!

Am I missing something? I don't see anything by anyone named Brenda... I do agree with you in that leaders lead by example. However, sometimes a speaker, such as Ms. Divinyi, can inspire and inform people that don't know where to start or where to go. No community can be made perfect or be without problems but we can make our's better with a multi-faceted, common sense approach.

No single meeting will fix our problems but all of these awareness programs combined can help parents who don't know what to look for, what's normal, what's not, etc.

One community forum may not do a whole lot of good, but 2 forums, or meetings, where everyone has a chance to get up and speak, would be very beneficial.
