This is incredible cruelty toward men.

Thank God the United States has the Eighth Amendment prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. No red-blooded American boy could wait four days.

Can't imagine why they would write such a law and don't blame the women for demonstrating. Such is the plight of women under Islamic rule.

auspicious of Islam is more cultural rather than what is outlined as Sharia. I just can't imagine the inhumane treatment that some of those women face - like in Afghanistan.

Is it our place to change their ideas?

No, I don't think it is our place to change their ideas. I think it needs to come from internal action by those who want real freedom in their lives.

Religion is used as a tool, something to be used to get what those in control want. Money, Sex, no matter, it is all about what is wanted or needed. In Afghanistan, most likely a man wasn't getting enough sex, so yea, how bout a new law saying the wife has to submit at least every 4 days. All under the cover of religion. What a crock. I would say there are just as many hypocrites in Afghanistan as there are here.
Religion is used to keep people down and uninformed except for what those in control want you to know. The Middle East has not progressed because of Religion, not because, they didn't have the wealth.
For the U.S.A. Separation of Church and State FOREVER!

Can we enact this one here? Sounds good to me. Actually I vote for every other day. Evil

BTW.... I hate religion too. Do love my creator and savior though. Smiling

Gee... anyone else up sitting in the basement due to the tornado sirens going off. My Okie instincts told me to stay in bed and sleep away. My wife and barking dog had other plans. Now they are all asleep down here and I'm.... well... playing.

You know Git I almost added this ? to my blog post.

Cy a better ? might be how many Men or Women for that matter would want a law passed in the U.S. like the One in Afghanistan? Yep, I thought there might be a few million out there. Silly Question.

Nope not hunkered down in the basement but did take critter out to do the business and heard the most gawd awful screaming from some poor thing in the woods. Some poor critter was dinner tonight for some other critter. Mother Nature can sometimes be a cruel thing.
