Board of Education gets rave reviews

Officials at SACS, the body that accredits public schools, gave rave reviews to the Board of Education today, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The officials in particular were pleased with the board's continuing focus on making student achievement their number one priority, and were pleased with the fiscal discipline the school board was exercising.

Oh, did I mention this was the Clayton County School Board?

I guess this means our own Fayette School Board has now grabbed the title of "the most dysfunctional school board in Georgia"....

Nothing like a little new meat on the board to get things moving in the right direction. Sounds like we need to take a page from their book and get rid of a couple of our board members.

It is amazing to me that SACS isn't investigating our school board. The way they are handling the laying off of teachers is wrong. They seem to think they can do whatever they want. I hope people remember this at election time!
