A Peachtree City woman was cited for driving under the influence after her golf cart crashed into a stone wall at the tunnel under Peachtree Parkway at the Braelinn ponds area Sunday afternoon, police said.

Cynthia M. Maginniss was initially taken from the scene by a good Samaritan who wanted to help get her home, police said.

A witness who saw the wreck told police a female driver crashed her cart and appeared to be bleeding badly before leaving the scene, police said.

Maginniss was later found at a residence on Planceer Place when the fire department was dispatched there to treat a person with injuries from a wreck, police said.

The crash occurred Sunday after 3:15 p.m., police said.

I've seen on here in a while.

Who was the victim here? Who was hurt? Was any private/city property damaged?

I'm thinking the City is strictly in this for the fines that can be generated.

Usually I am the first person to bash the police for being to uptight. But this lady crashed a golf cart into a wall. Thats pretty drunk.

Should they be arrested too? IF she caused any damage to property, she should fix it. I still say the City is reaching here....for $$$$$

If you are driving around on your golf cart at 3:00 in the afternoon so drunk that you run into a solid wall you deserve your DUI. On the other hand, I would much rather see people drive their golf carts home from the bars late at night instead of their cars. I peronally think that their should be a separate charge for golf cart DUIs.

"Should they be arrested to?"...Use common sense. The golf cart paths are full of people at 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday. If this person was drunk enough to hit a wall, then she was drunk enough to hit a kid. This wasn't a two beers at lunch situation. This lady was wasted.

I glad this lady didn't hurt or kill anyone. How big is that wall? How drunk would you have to be to hit a wall? The crazy stuff people do to help the cops meet their quotas.

Ummmmmm.......After 3:15pm, talk about getting a jump on your drinking...

Luckly she never made it close to any traffic, or she could have killed herself or someone else trying to avoid her.

Lesson 1, Stone Walls have no give...

Lesson 2, Golf Carts have no air bags.

You have to be really wasted to crash a golf cart.

When ever sombody from out of town comes to visit me they always ask why we give DUI's on gold carts. This is why.
