Democrats out to destroy Credit Unions

If you belong to a Credit Union, call your Congressman/Senator now and oppose the dangerous, reckless CRA that the democrats want to put in place.

It wasn't enough that the democrat congress destroyed the banking industry, now they are after solvent Credit Unions.

But Reps. Luis V. Gutierrez (D-Ill.) and Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) are championing legislation that would expand CRA to nonbank financial institutions, including mortgage companies, insurers, securities firms and credit unions.

It’s not the first time the bill has been introduced — a similar bill died in the 107th Congress. But like many housing proposals these days, this legal expansion is now being pushed as an antidote to the recklessness and wrongdoing that sparked the current economic crisis.
